 Vocabulary:

 unfortunately: used to say that something is sad, disappointing, or has a bad effect.

 Examples:

 Unfortunately, I didn't have my credit card with me, or else I would have bought it.

 Unfortunately there's nothing I can do about your problem.

 non-profitnot intended to make a profit, but to make money for a social or political purpose or to provide a service that people need.

 Examples:

 We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of ocean mammals.

 Bayti is a non-profit association that helps children in difficult circumstances.

 labourer: a person who does unskilled physical work, especially outside.

 Examples:

 He told reporters they were farm labourers, and he could not say if they had entered the United States legally.

 Child labourers are maltreated.

  juvenile delinquenta young person, usually under 18, who commits a crime.

 Examples:

 Family environment and peer influence are two of the main causes that push children to become juvenile delinquents.

 Juvenile delinquents are those minors who have committed an act in violation of the law.

 shelter(a building designed to give) protection from bad weather, danger, or attack.

 Examples:

 They opened a shelter to provide temporary housing for the city's homeless.

 The trees gave/provided some shelter from the rain.

 account for: to form the total of; to be.

 Examples:

 These centres account for a total capacity of 100 beds.

 Students account for the vast majority of our customers.

 workshop: a room or building where things are made or repaired using machines and/or tools.

 Examples:

 a carpenter's/printer's workshop

 an engineering workshop

 workshop: a meeting of people to discuss and/or perform practical work in a subject or activity.

 Examples:

 a drama/poetry/training workshop

 The organization runs a stress-management workshop.

 currently: at the present time.

 Examples:

 The Director is currently having talks in the US.

 The device is currently available only in Japan.

 involved: interested in or taking part in an activity or event.

 Examples:

 The couple was having a loud argument, and I was afraid to get involved.

 Maria was so involved in her work that she didn’t hear me come in.

 childhood: the state or time of being a child. (-hood is a suffix. -hood= the state or time of being).

 Examples:

 She had an unhappy childhood.

 She spent most of her childhood on a farm in Texas.
