1- Last week I lost the key that he had given me.

2- Yesterday when I arrived at the cinema, the film had already started.

3- Last month the lights went off because we had not paid the electricity bill.

4- When their mother came back home one hour ago, the children had been watching TV for more than two hours.

5- Last month, the workers did not stop the strike until the boss had agreed to raise their wages.

6- A month ago, as soon as people had heard the news on the radio, they took to the streets protesting against the rise in oil prices.

7- When I was having a walk yesterday, I came across an old friend of mine. I had not seen him for the last six years.

8- If he had not driven so fast last week, he would not have had that terrible accident.
